I am thinking of whether or not to remove it from the script to improve end turn times because so far none of my games have gone far enough for Casse to unite the british isles and it seems like it is hit or miss any way.

the gaul factions in EB are both really passive :( they stay in place and always get rape by the AI romans.

in my campaigns the aedui always conquer the averni. they are active but have no cance against sweboz, lusotanna and romanii at the same time. in my actual roman campaign the aedui were very agressive. I wanted to conquer spain, cartagho and hellas/macedonia before i go north towards the averni and aedui, but i had to strike back against the aedui even before i defeated lusotanna because they besieged massilia, tolosa and segesta at the same time! In my case, usually the Aedui hammer the Arverni at some point, but then suddenly the Arverni make a comeback and usually even manage to unify Gallia. As for the Romans, they've never even tried to go north lately (thank the VC minimod!). The only problem seems to be the Sweboz who usually conquer up to the Rhine, then maul the Arverni...

I always play on vh camp/m battle. from my very first play of EB till now, the gaul factions has always been stationary. romans always get them. germans are pretty passive too, once it has taken it's homeland regions.

how are the ptolemaioi in your games, in 99% of mine they explode an conquer half the map befor I (as a western faction) come close to them... i still can beat them in a hard fight, but it would be much more interesting if other factions survived wich i could fight (with survived i mean more than 1 settlement like the AS or the Hay have left in my current Roman Campaign)

The Ptolemaioi are beating the Selukids much too easily at the moment. Other than that the factions are mostly balanced. The Lusotannan tend to be a tad too easy, I think. I'm happy for the Arverni/Aedui to be somewhat weaker and divided, as in their present form. 'Divide and conquer', so they say. The only other major imbalance is that the Quarthadastim ought to be more powerful. They were a deservedly serious contender to Rome, after all and twice caused Rome much grief.

That aside the balance seems to be quite good. Rebalancing tends to be a bit of a juggle, only very subtle changes from here on out seem to be necessary.
