A really easy question

I am currently in a game of RTW with a few friends, I am incredibly noobish when it comes to technical stuff ,so i have no idea how he set this script up so that we can all play what is normally a single player campaign. Anyway, i suspect the player that made the game of cheating using rome_shell. Is there any way to check what other players have done in rome_shell (auto_win cheat etc.). Here are some specifics that may help, the script is activated by hitting f1, and clicking show me how button. We just do our turn, the next person's turn auto loads after we hit end turn, then we send the file to the next person in a pm. Thanks so much in advance for bearing with this incredibly noobish question.

as in, what is the command in rome_shell to bring up a log or something to that effect?

please don't think you're being ignored, I'm not sure this is actually an easy question though. While you have a game open you can use the Up arrow when RomeShell is open to view previous 'cheats' and script commands, but that only works for duration you have same game open. Try that - but I don't think it works on a re-loaded saved game and as far as I know there aren't really any methods to extract usable info out of saves....

(I'm frequently wrong though, so hopefully someone else will have more useful info)

thanks for the reply, i really appreciate any help. Unfortunately i tried that and it still didnt work. I can tell that he is cheating because in one turn his general gained about 7 new stats, but i was really hoping to actually catch him. please let me know if you ever learn of a way to do so. Also, I can not play online battles, could this be a symptom of using a modded file?

To play any sort of direct multiplayer you need the game to think that both players have exactly the same version of the game, if you have modded some of the files it checks for compatibility and the other player/s have something different then it won't work.

What sort of error message is it giving you when you try and connect?

I've had MP difficulties but it says 'invalid cd key' What?! If my CD Key was invalid then surely it would not have installed?

I didnt have to use a CD key when I installed it..(and re-installed it, and again, and again, and again....)

Do you have Gold Edition?

I did I think. Try reinstalling an unmodded version. If that doesn't work, get in touch with Sega or CA.

I'm using the Aleander version which i thinkis unmodded... however I just discovered some dpownloadwed stuff on my 'clean' copy of RTW/. Tis is worse for me because I have 'temporarily misplaced' CD2!
