in the descr_engines.txt file, all you do is copy and paste the complete section for an existing catapult - give it a new 'type' name on first line. That 'type' name is what you need to use as the 'engine' name in the EDU entry for the new catapult.
then in the re-named copied section just change the names / path to the .cas files to suit your new files .
Note that there isn't anywhere to specify what texture the catapult uses, it automatically looks for the one the .cas file defaults to (what it thought it's material was when it was saved in Max), that texture needs to be placed in the /textures folder within the same folder the .cas is in. Then it gets looked up automatically.
