I have a great cav (valour 9) unit which its general is a six stars but a coward (-9 morale)
I want to keep the unit but under another general, but every time I put the unit under another general my coward becomes the new general of the unified army.
Unfortunatly I don't have generals with higher rank just 5 and down.

Is there a solution to this or I must wait for another general to be greater in rank than this one?

Try assassinating him or framing him for treason. Need a very high valor assassin or spy though, and bring him in or near the province where your Faction Leader is.

An alternative is to use the general's unit as reserves for other depleted units. Eventually his unit will be down to one (himself) and you can just disband him.

Personally, after the first 30 years or so of a campaign, I always keep at least one army of odds-n-sods to use as a mobile reserve (and short term seige army). After a battle they get moved up to the front line province, fill in any gaps in the main army and now the main army is back up to full strength 100/60/40/20 man units.

Drag and drop his unit (in the lower centre of the strat map) onto another unit of the same type (eg royal knights) in the same army, which will transfer knights from his unit to the other. Once his unit strength is 1, right click (again in the lower centre of the strat map) and select "Disband" in the lower centre of the parchment that appears.

oh that's very cool! But why don't you just send him into battle by himself, tire the crap outta him by running in circles, then charge the enemy (hopefully they've got cavalry to chase him down when he runs like VIPPED DOG)

Even more satisfying is having him get captured then refuse to pay the ransom. HAHAHAHAH MUAHAHAH MUAAHHA.
