Re: how do I use
You have the Configuration shortcut to adjust settings first, launch EB next; the Play Single Player to keep your settings and launch EB in campaign mode straight away; or you have the Play Multiplayer to keep settings but launch EB in Custom Battle/ Multiplayer modus. Note that the latter option does not allow for starting a campaign, though.
