Default Assassins in Crusades...the funniest thing ever

For those who want to play crusades i want to tell you just this....assassins are like mega-uber overpowered ....you get from a fresh out of the slums assassin 95% chance to kill any merchant; diplomat; or priest ..... i took out the mongols(i have to be frank with this with about 20 assassins) in one turn

They should be repaired....but there is always the fun part of not letting your opponent convert your population to his religion...or those pesky thiefs and assassins.
My deepest fear is not that I am inadequate...my deepest fear is that I am powerful beyond measure.

I found that assasins are under powered in Vanilla

but in LTC mod, they are the best... they really have a good chance of killing just about anyone in your provinces.
which is good because in Vanilla i found that they didn't have much worth other than killing diplomats who try to bribe ur officials

This also seems to be the case in BC. You can kill a 10exp Merchant or diplomat with a 0exp assassin piece of cake. It seems to be a little different with generals though, but not a lot.

Aside from enemy merchants (which there is always plenty), I havent used my assassins to kill Generals in my KoJ campaign. I do this mainly to keep battles challenging and hopefully making my AAR a little more interesting to read. (all I got to do is get motivated and post an update, which i have plenty of.)

Experience for merchants, princesses, priests, imams, and diplomats doesn't affect the chance but ancillaries or perhaps "paranoia" traits do.

I always thought it had, I'm sure I've noticed differences in the % of success when targeting enemy agents depending on their stats.

There's a personal security attribute so, yes, some traits increase your chance of survival.
