The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary. H. L. Mencken
they are all kind of the same, the position is all that differ afaik,
but look here

It isn't a stupid question, Aedui/Arverni have almost the same troops/buildings/trait so who is better to play?
Thanks Gebeleisis, I had read the factions page, in history and colour of units i think Arverni maybe are better. I saw that in the recrutiment viewer the Arverni don't have the carnute druids infantry, but have the arjos that seems a good unit

well if we are at that point i think it just goes down to the preference over the banner and faction colours :P

Since they've got the same troops/buildings/traits they are pretty much the same to play. Only the early game makes a difference. The Averni have a better starting position, since their provinces are linked and they don't have to deal with the Romans early. However, IIRC the Aedui have a slightly bigger starting army (I might be wrong, since it has been since 0.8 that I played a barbarian game). Either way, your objective should be to wipe out the opposing Gaul tribe as quickly as possible, and then focus on building your economy.
BTW, both sides have an unique unit available after the first reform. The Averni get the Arjos, a though armoured spearmen. However, I prefer the Carnute Cingetos the Aedui get, because they give a morale bonus and are hard-hitting shock troops to boot.

Also I think that Aedui generals (family members) are better looking then those of Arverni. (Don't get me wrong they both look great - but I slightly prefer those amazing helmets of Aedui kings) (arverni kings have bird on their helmets and Aedui kings have those feathers on their helmets)

They didn't react like that because the question was stupid, but because it's hard to understand what you mean with your questionOriginally Posted by uriel1987

It's about like asking which you think is better, café au lait or café latte...
