Default 2nd Try: Unknown CTD in XGM

Makanyane suggested I post this in the modding questions section,so...

I've installed, deleted, then reinstalled the XGM mod on my notebook, but everytime I'd start a campaign and get it going,it would always begin to CTD right after I'd hit the end turn button about 20 years into the game.
It can't be my modded files, because I use "show_err" on all my Total War folders and it doesn't mention anything other than "Barbarian Invasion has stopped working. This application will now close.".
I haven't messed with anything to do with mapping or traits and ancillaries, and my only changes were "0 army upkeep" and "one-turn recruiting" in Export_Descr_Unit,switched off plagues in Descr_Disasters,and I removed "and_not_marian_reforms" from Roman light cavalry in Export_Descr_Building.

    Any ideas,guys?

One, idea, start undoing each of those changes one at a time, when you are able to go without a CTD you will have found which change caused the problem.

    Agrees with Squid

also further suggestions - try running the game on autopilot by putting
    -ai
on shortcut in same way you do -show_err

see if it still crashes when ai is playing itself, if it does it will save you keep playing through the turns to test if you've got things working.

Then follow Squid's advice and reverse out changes one by one. Hopefully you made a back up of the files before fiddling. If not you can find the XGM ones by 'installing' the mod again to an empty folder.

Descr_Disasters would be my best guess as a culprit out of the ones you mentioned, and that might need the map.rwm file deleted / regenerated
as its a vaguely map related file.

If all else fails, i would suggest completley uninstalling every trace of Rome from your computer. Of course, uninstall XGM first, the rome. After, reinstall it, patch it to whatever version necessary (v1.5 im assuming), and then reinstall XGM. If it worked before, then it should obviously work after you do this.

But of course, it is always nice to find out what was causing the issues, so if you would rather fix it instead of taking the "easy way out", be my guest

As per Makanyane's advice,I played a campaign without my "No Plagues" text edit, and played it several years beyond the CTD point without incident,so I'm guessing that's where the problem was.

This was my original descr_disasters file modded for no plagues:
    (And note the bold ;)
    ;event plague
    frequency 40
    winter false
    summer false
    min_scale 2
    max_scale 5
And I'm thinking maybe this was what I had to do instead:
    ;event plague
    ;frequency 40
    ;winter false
    ;summer false
    ;min_scale 2
    ;max_scale 5
I haven't started a campaign with these edits in play yet,as I'm going to go start one after this, but any feedback is appreciated. Now,if,like Mak said, the map.rmw file might need to be deleted,XGM has three different ones in the file folder. Should I delete all three?

Well,I played a campaign way beyond the 264 BC point,so the problem seems to be resolved.

But I know where to come if not.
    Thanks,guys and gal.
