    Default EB and dreams

I think I saw another post a while back from a poor soul who had EB invading his dreams. Now I'm afraid it's happened to me. It was awful I dreamed I was playing EB and that there was this new unit in 1.1 that looked like the pontic scythed chariots but with robocop as the driver. It was awful, I was forced to fight stacks and stacks of them, then somehow I ended up on the forum complaining about the historicity of such a unit and the EB team kept insisting it was and kept citing archaeological sources. Please assure me, it was all just a dream! Because it was a nightmare my friends. Dang, I think I gotta lay off the mescaline.

Sir, this is a new feature coming 1.2, not 1.1

I don't see what's so wierd about that, I routinely see EB warriors clashing whenever I close my eyes even if I'm just yawning!

And as to dreams, ah yes, I had a dream...A dream where EB 2 was out, fully-fixed and on the same level (if not better) as 1.1, or 1.2 for that matter. A dream where we commanded armies and regiments that were on a 1:1 scale with true ancient armies. A dream where arrows and javelins sailed the air gracefully, nailed themselves on shields, bodies, and the ground, and STAYED THERE instead of fading away. A dream where slingshot stones, if they didn't kill someone, bounced off shields and armour. A dream where the wounded writhed in agony or tried to crawl away pitifully from the clash. A dream where riderless horses ran panicking around the battlefield. Where every regiment had officers, 2nd-in-command officers, musicians, and standard bearers, whose insignia blazed like the sun. A dream where soldiers willingly threw down their weapons and armour as they fled the battlefield in panic, or held up their arms in surrender against victorious soldiers, thus leaving you with the dilemma of what to do with prisoners. It was a beautiful, beautiful dream...

And then I woke up, and said: '**** it was just a dream'.

At least you realized it was a dream, I went and did a forum search for the thread. I could have sworn that Tellos and Foot kept referencing some grave site in asia minor that had contained several full suits of armor worn by pontic robocop charioteers dating to 216 BC. And pezhetairoi kept flaming me and telling me to go play RTR.

At some point I'll have a nightmare where I'm surrounded by Ordmalica and Dosidateskeli. "So, we're non-existant fantasy warriors, are we?" they'll say...

Sir, I believe you need psychological care :D

    Here,

Now, don't make any noises, be quiet. Dinner is served around noon and the restrooms are just around the corner. If you need any assistance just call that big nurse over there, the one with the "I'll fix you" t-shirt. Yes sir, indeed.

you know, there is the EB tavern.
I was once alive, but then a girl came and took out my ticker.

Haven't had an EB specific dream yet.

But I remember with another mod where there were epic walls
(you know, those that have towers with machinegun-ballistas)
and enemy pezhetairoi and chalkispides were getting tossed around while decimated by said towers.

Then of course the entire enemy army panics,
and I send the mounted units to mop up the rest.

    Not very original, I admit.
And it was hard differentiating between a dream and actual game play.

Every post... every damned one. "made up", "fantasy", "no basis", etc., etc.. When it has nothing to do with your crusade you still find a need to bring it up. Did EB kill your father or something? Actually I don't care, I just wish you would find someone else to harass or some other object to fixate upon.

I had a dream... so nice... I dreamed I was Gynaikonomos (This man has been appointed Gynaikonomos (supervisor of women at the gymnasium). The gymnasium is where competitors in the public games are trained, and comes from the word gymnos (naked). Considering this man's proclivities, perhaps it was not a wise decision to put him in this position, but at least his superiors can be sure that he will be interested in his duties and involved in the exercise of his charges).

    I hate unisex gyms!

Teleklos, I respect you(despite blaming you) but what he said was pretty funny.
