    Default WoW Hunter questions

Okay, I'm getting frustrated as heck trying to get answers to a few basic WoW questions. The problem is, they're such noob questions that they aren't covered in any of the player-created communities, but they also seem to have been left out of the game manual. So, I'm hoping my Orgahs can help me out.

    1) How the heck does a hunter get rid of a pet he doesn't want anymore?

    2) It appears that only a limited number of pet skill training points are available, so:

    a) Are pet skill training points specific to the pet, or specific to the hunter? In other words, if I use a bunch of training points on one pet, does it take away from another pet, or does each pet have its own pool of points?

    b) How do I get more training points for my pets?

    c) If I use an NPC class trainer to untrain my pet of it's skills, do I get the training points back?

To get rid of it, you have to talk to the keeper guy about 'releasing' a pet. to question 2 I'm not sure, but I think they are pet specific you have your pet gain levels and yes you do
Tho' I've belted you an' flayed you,
By the livin' Gawd that made you,
You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din!

Goofball, this pet business is confusing, at least it was for me at first before my sons explained it.

    1) If you right click on the pet status box a menu will appear that includes ABANDON. This will release the pet forever.

    2) Pet training points are a factor of the pet's level and, initially at least, its' happiness . They serve to restrict what the pet can do thus forcing the player to make decisions about what characteristics the pet will have. Each pet has its' own pool of points. A pets level can never exceed the hunter's.

Pet trainers in cities can for a fee give a pet certain generic capabilities such as more armor or health. The other skills (restricted by pet class) must be trained by the hunter himself. The hunter learns new pet skills by taming a pet that has the skill in the wild. Use the new pet for a few minutes (10 maybe) and you get a message that says "You learned BITE 5" or some such. The new skill goes into your list of trainable attributes which you can give to other pets that can learn them.

I beleive all points are returned when you untrain, but there is a fee to do this.

Anyway, Google "WoW PETOPIA" for MUCH more detail about what pets have what skills and where to find them.
