EB wont start

Ahh the good old ways of Windows... Are you REALLY SURE that you have installed EB in the CORRECT location?

Because you just described me something I only ever saw happening with shortcuts that point to a non-existant location/file. Which break down to: you did not install it in the RTW folder (the folder which contains your RomeTW.exe file).

thats possible, one or two time I loaded it into the activision folder (one above RTW)

I have a similar problem (I use a Windows Vista)
Mine dies every time I try to start a campaign.
However I can play custom games on single player mode
My EB1.1 is under
- Computer
-- OS (C:)
--- Activision
---- Rome - Total War
NOT under Program Files

for whatever reason, whenever I try to start a new campaign, it says:



anyone have advice or the fix to this?
What's this "Protection Error" and this "Debugger"?

IDK but there are a couple of things you can try:
1) Restart your PC; try again.
2) Post a screenshot with a list of processes running when this error occurs. Then somebody who knows might step in and give you the explanation...

Same problem over here.

Just curious: have you guys tried to start a campaign for factions with intro(saka, pahlava)? Cos I am able to start only those campaigns.

In which case it might be worth to install the codec mentioned in the announcement thread?

If for some reason the problem persists after that -- try disabling the movies by ticking the appropiate checkbox in the trivial script GUI. (Launch the Configuration shortcut...)

No, there's a placeholder EB movie for all factions without a movie of their own.
