    Default AptEdit is today's giveaway

For those who missed MultiEdit earlier, or do not prefer another similar tool like the free Notepad++, this text editor might be interesting for anyone wanting to mod. I've not tested it, just letting you know. It's free for another 14 hours.

check out nonags.com. Lots of freeware that do not expire. ...And they don't nag either, hence the web site name.

You misunderstand. It's free and does not expire. However the offer of getting it free expires; you need to download and activate it today.

If you happened to miss this back in september, it is having a rerun on the giveaway site and is free for another 19 hours.

Notepad++ is also a quite popular editor that can be used for modding, and that's free all the time.

Crimson editor is another free editor. It's very similar to MultiEdit, it just lacks a few of the more advanced features. Most of which your average modder will never even consider using

    Why is that?

Because Crimson disrespects umask and chmod.

We, I and a fellow student that is, learned this the hard way during the first practical assignment for Internet/Web Programming.
