    Default Pyrrhos of Epeiros

Hello everyone! I have recently started a Makedonian campaign with BI.exe and am working on my AAR on the same time. As most can imagine, my first and deadliest enemy will be Epeiros. With Pyrrhos leading his armies, things look very very difficut in the beggining...

Now my question is, what did historically happen with Epeiros after the military genius himself died? What would be most accurate to do if I am to kill him? You see, I use FD (Force Diplomacy) to improve gameplay to enhance the historical accuracy of my game so I would like to know what I should do with Epeiros ater Pyrrhos' death. Should I weaken Epeiros a lot? Should I leave them be?

I would be very pleased if someone could at least tell me what historically happened to the kingdom of Epeiros. Did it continue to exist as a shadow of its former self? Or did it continue to exist as a wounded beast, weakened but still dangerous?

Though I am no expert, I believe Epirus suffered greatly and were unable to launch any major offensives in the future. Though you should still allow them to exist, possibly as an protectorate (don´t know enough about that) you shouldn´t destroy them for some time. In fact the Romans basically destroyed them, but that´s got to be hard to roleplay, as I doubt you want to be that historical, what with letting the Romans kill you.

I don't come here a lot any more. You know why? Because you suck. That's right, I'm talking to you. Your annoying attitude, bad grammar, illogical arguments, false beliefs and pathetic attempts at humour have driven me and many other nice people from this forum. You should feel ashamed. Report here at once to recieve your punishment. Scumbag.

Hmmm, I see. As for historical accuracy, of course I'm NOT gonna let those Roman dogs defeat me! As a matter of fact, I am thinking of burning Roma to the ground...

Yeah, but considering that the game only lasts for about 300 years it will have ended before the Romans destroy him. So yeah, go for it!

If you want historical accuracy, it would be most accurate to have Pyrrhos start with Pella and Demetrias at the beginning of the game (he conquered them in ~274 BC). After his death, Makedonia and Thessaly went back to Antigonus.

You should probably also give Pyrrhus a considerably larger starting army (when he went to the Peloponnese in 272, he did so with an army of 25,000 infantry and 2,000 cavalry, plus elephants - more than the size of the Makedonian army at the Battle of Chaeronea), and then use the add_money cheat to bribe it after Pyrrhos's death, as his army went to Antigonus.

Pyrrhos' son, Alexander, launched another invasion of Makedonia soon afterwards and attained some success before losing both his conquests and Epeiros itself

It looks like the death of Pyhrros was a real turning point in history.

If he hadn't died unnecessarily in that stupid street battle in Argos, he might have completely destroyed Macedon forever - annexing it to Epirus!

Then Rome would have ended up fighting Epirus in the 3rd and 2nd centuries BC instead of Macedon.
