    Default Pike Questions

When I am in a city typically and I hit attack on an enemy with my pike unit of any kind they put there pikes down and walk in circles and stuff like that. why is this?

Is there any difference between guard mode on or off with this unit? because I really cant figure it out

If you keep guard mode on, they will stay in formation.

I figured that but they seam to keep there formation even with guard mode off.

Do you have any advise for the first question Dhampir? Sorry I forgot to put the first question mark when I typed it.

Pathfinding in settlements really screws with phalanx units. They'll go in circles, face the wrong way, or just suddenly decide to move every guy to the exact opposite side of the formation. There really isn't anything that can be done about it.

With guard mode on, they stay still and in formation. If you take it off, they will try to "push" the enemy, but will start to loose cohesion.

I try not to move phalanx units within a city.

I disable phalanx and run them to the objective. when the get there, then they lower pikes. that works with me.
