The Libyans were the mainstay of Carthaginian armies, and prett much the only guys you´d be certain to find in a Carthaginian army, no matter when or where that army existed. I think it´s only far to give them more then a single unit.

I don't come here a lot any more. You know why? Because you suck. That's right, I'm talking to you. Your annoying attitude, bad grammar, illogical arguments, false beliefs and pathetic attempts at humour have driven me and many other nice people from this forum. You should feel ashamed. Report here at once to recieve your punishment. Scumbag.
I never once used the heavy Libyans as Carthage - there was really no need.
Although less faithfull to reality - I used Liby-Phoenician infantry as the mainstay.
P.S I think that Carthage has a HUGE advantage upon conquering southern gallic provinces -becuase it can build both neitos and naked fanatics.
these units teamed together with the traditional carthaginian troops and cavalry proved unstoppable for the whole of France and Germany.
Is a libyan cavalry planned ?
Lies we can believe in
I think the Carthaginian's native recruitment is justified; historically they enthusiastically employed non-Punic native warriors from their sphere of influence and mercenaries from outside it. Anyway, with the Gaesatae AOR drastically reduced in 1.1, Carthage has to work a lot harder to get said huge advantage.Originally Posted by Jorduan

Gertrude: I'm not on the Team, but my intuition is that they won't add a specifically Libyan cavalry unit since they already have the incredibly awesome Liby-Phoenician Cavalry, and since the Libyans proper were more known for theire chariots than their cavalry, but that was before EB's timeperiod.
