Is patching supposed to last 6 hours or more?

I patched to 1.02 and it took 12 hours to patch. I'm applying 1.03 right now and it's about 80% finished, but it's been 6 and a half hours. Is this normal?

Im pretty sure it shouldnt take that long, perhaps you might try buying kingdoms before you try to patch kingdoms???
For me i can remember it taking around 1 hour and a half, with the disk anyway, im not sure how long downloading it from the internet should take

My game works fine, patching to 1.2 took 7-8 minutes.

In my previous post i meant it took that long to download the patch and the game, not just the patch, if it takes you that long to do, you must have a dial up internet or something like that, for broadband it does not take that long surely
