Thread: Missing filename

  1. #1

    Angry Missing filename

When I start EB using the shortcut created by the installer I get this: Missing Filename DATA\models_building\spot_fx

I've downloaded the installer twice and still don't get the files in place. HTe test-proggie reports a SHITLOAD of missing files...

    How I did it:

    1. Uninstalled EVERYTHING!
    2. Created a Backup
    3. Patched the original to 1.3, then 1.5
    4. Installed EB in my patched dir

All indications are that you installed EB somewhere other than your RTW directory. Check that you have both a Data folder, an EB folder and a RomeTW.exe file in the RTW folder, at the very least.

Having problems getting EB2 to run? Try these solutions.

I have all those. There is also a Data folder in the EB folder. Is it supposed to be like that? And no that dir does not contain the missing file.

Yes. It should be like that. You should have something like \Rome - Total War\EB\Data. You should have the RomeTW.exe in your Rome - Total War folder.

You didn't by any chance install EB inside Program Files?

A good choice, yet it means I don't really have any good idea what has happened. Could you post your validation results here?
