*geek out mode*twas cooooooooooooooooooool! they had the dancers who made a painting, and the painting rose up in to te air, and the had this giant parade of nations, and these cuby thingy's that were made to look like water, run by a million poeple, and did I mentione the drummers? they were coool-the drumsticks trurned red, and they were lihting up and wooooooooooooo!!! and there was the olympic rings rendered in ballons or something. it was cooooooooooooooool!!
the best part was the torch part: they had 8 poeple relay in the stadium, and the last guy got hoisted up, made to look like he was walking on wind, and lit a torch after running 360 deg. 300 ft off the ground!!
you got to see i for your self! 8-12 hrs sectacular!!

300 million is a lot of money to be used in this..don't get me wrong,I was cool, afun, and wll worth watching, but everytime i see something lie this, I keep thinking of the hungry, how this could have gone to help them.

I would never fast. I don't see the point in it, and it seems disrespectful to everyone who involuntarily starves every day not to eat when you've got all the food you could want.
today is a fast day for all jews (at least the ones who are serious about thier religion), because today is the day in which both of our temples in jerusalem were burned down by the babylonians/romans. its a sign of mourning....
we also dont wear leather shoes, dont listen to music, dont play video games, dont sit on normal chairs until mid-day, and we sit in synagogue for a good 3-4 hours while we mourn for the temples and the disasters that have befallen the jewish people throughout history.
Man, I'm happy I'm not a Jew who takes my would-be religion seriously. Seems like a really bum day; my sympathies, man. Have a drink on... oh, wait. Sorry.
