I suck at it (still relatively new). I've only oned the game (RTW) for 12 months (not yet 365 days). I only played the first multiplayer games in late may, and cut it out by may 24..
that was how bad I suc

casualties ~40,000-------45,000 (they almost always out numbered me- by one, maybe 200 men, save urial, always by 3-600 men)
average loss rate 60%--------60% (I sound withdraw rather than see the consequences of a F** up right wing, so usually it ended with similar percentages)
my only time was vs. Uriel, and he had sweboz (hardly surprising-I had Baktria). there was this fight with Burakuku that was epic in proportions: 83% vs 63% casualties, me with 2300 to his 2400 men (romans, polybian). I almost won that-then I lost the cavalry fight-with predictable consequences..

What was all that about. Carthage are pushovers in any of my games. Hmmph. I steamroller them with strategy, not tactics.
White death? Pshaw. Most of the time they don't even get a chance to hurl more than their starting elephants at me before their elephant-producing provinces have been raided, razed, and raped.
Of course, sometimes I DO miss out one or two... ._.

I'm not so sure about that part about not being able to tell people apart, though. I imagine that Ibrahim looks somewhat like Chewbacca (why else would he hide under steel pants?!) which is quite different to the General's pasty white skin and blonde hair. It would take a lot of alcohol for me to mix those two up. Not that it matters when I'm that drunk, though...
