I' m not trying to start a political argument, i'm asking as an opportunity to learn about "non-terrorist" Islam...btw i dont think that shold even be a term... islam is about peace (if ur not crazy, right?)

Hooahguy...also... being a jew...i'm curious to know if you've been in contact with any friendly muslims, because i know you've probably been closer to real terrorism than i could ever hope to be, as an "apologetic monotheistic agnostic" (which i define as anyone who approves of some of the judaic teaching, along with some christian and muslim stuf that makes sense to me, and some budhism. ) you have more experience than me with the middle east. You've been to israel. Is the jewish law on this subject that much difference from the muslim law. (After all, the Muslims are the Jews genetic brothers, correct?)

Sorry if i keep over-complicating things, i just wanted some International insight on these things. the Olympics is supposed to unite us.

I have nothing against Muslims, and this is said coming from a Christian. To be honest, a lot of people just have this stereotype that all Muslims are "extremists", which is not true.

Whatever the case may be, this is a conversation for the backroom. I will speak no more of it here in the fear that this tavern may be burnt down once again.

Athiest/Polythiest. That works, because I don't actually believe in Jupiter, Mars, or any of them, but it's good to chat. plus, from a psychological perspective, if you open your mind to sugggestions, your subconsious fills it, sometimes with solutions.

Atheist/polytheist doesn't work. If you don't believe you're not a polytheist, if you do believe you're not an atheist. There is no third option, and you have to pick one of those. (Well, not really pick per se, but identify yourself as one, not both.) Saying that you're atheist and polytheist is like saying you've eaten cooked meat raw.

I don't give a F*** about saudis, and don't know what they'd do, mostly because i'm palestinian. that said, I'll answer the Q to hooahguy: He has met a friendly muslim, and you're reading his post.

indeed. i have at least 6-7 muslim friends(besides Ibrahim), all of whom are very nice and would never hurt anyone. hell, since muslims and jews share the same dietary laws, i have ate at thier houses with their families many times. they are really close friends to me, and i to them.
yes, two of my cousins were killed by terrorits, as well as a friend who was shot right in front of me by some muslim extremist. its been hard to keep me from saying that all muslims are evil and bad, but its definitely not true. while most muslims arent terrorists, the sad truth is that most terrorists are muslim.
