yo has anyone ever read the comic DMZ... i became addicted to it today.. apparently in the comic, a group known as the "FREE STATES of america" Rose up sometime in the near future and took over most of the continental US, and they possesed Military equipment, M16's, Humvees, snipers. they are known as the people who occupy "New Jersey and Inland." the USA occupies DC, Virginia, Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island. Manhattan is the De-Militarized Zone where people have to fend for themselves. And usually they end up doing better than one owould expect, re-routing power, starting Co-op gardens on NYC Rooftops, and maintaining a vegan diet due to lack of meat.


I still have to read the next three remaining issues...they're still being released and its under Vertigo/DC...

It Centers on a News Reporter whos helicopter is shot down, and who ends up living in the Manhattan DMZ.

Look for it. its a Vertigo comic. Its nuts. Manhattan gets cut off from power and heat...but they help themselves by putting solar panels on some buildings... and some parts of the city get like an Hr. of power a day.... People without power resorted to cutting down trees in central park for heat, and the "old" Central Park Zoo started its own (literally) underground growing initiative, where they started growing tons of bamboo to supply ppl with firewood.


The US govt kills lots of people by bombing downtown Manhattan. Most of Manhattan is controlled by local militia, where things are usually kept stable like now, unless you are an outsider, which means you WILL be shot, unless you are an ally of the
FSA. its a really good comic.

Holy sh*t... I didn't even read your other post about the comic, because when the word "comic book" came up, I just skipped right by it. But this kind of comic, whoa, that's heavy stuff man. That's the kind of fiction I'm into, big political sh*tholes.

HAHAHAHAHAAAA!!! Just last week, the dentist told me all my wisdom teeth came out nice and straight. Noting that all my other teeth were all good, too, the dentist chuckled and told me this happens with like 3 or 4 percent of the population.
