I like very much the Illyrian levies and spearmen (love those helmets!), and the native egyptian infantry, nothing fancy, just awesomely created units!

What can I say? I love catas in their shiny armor

RTW, 167 BC: Rome expels Greek philosophers after the Lex Fannia law is passed. This bans the effete and nasty Greek practice of 'philosophy' in favour of more manly, properly Roman pursuits that don't involve quite so much thinking.

I doubt it. I, myself, have never seen them available as mercenaries. Maybe someone else knows better? The Aedui Solduros are pretty similiar. With a different color scheme and shield pattern though.

Swapping skins around through descr_model_battle.txt is the only option I guess.

    The best !!!!

"Alexander came by the statue of his father and spoke loud: `Youths of the Pellaians and of the Macedonians and of the Hellenic Amphictiony and of the Lakedaimonians and of the Corinthians... and of all the Hellenic peoples, join your fellow-soldiers and entrust yourselves to me, so that we can move against the barbarians and liberate ourselves from the Persian bondage, for AS Hellenes WE should not be slaves to barbarians."

Say I wanted to switch the skins of the Aedui Milnaht to the Arverni Milnaht. What exactly would I do? What needs to be swapped around?

My only gripe with this skin is the lack of shoulder straps.

Is there a historical reason for this or is a leftover from RTW days? I remember that several units in RTR had no straps to save models for some reason.

Also, I must say the Kinsmen(the man, not the cataphract) are beautiful, its seems to be a pefect mesh between Hellenic and Persian.

Oh, and Kardaka shields are Awesome.

Here's another question. Which nation do you think has the prettiest units overall? My vote goes to Carthage. Everyone of those units are badass.

Hmm yeah, I would go with Carthage too, I mean Baktria still gets the normal-ish units even though they have a lot of shining jems.

Ioudaioi Taxeis are allocated on the same model too... still their armour is rather different from what you'd get elsewhere, isn't it?

    I. Taxeis use the same model as the I. Peltastai ('different I' though); which means that this might have something to do with it.
However far as I can tell the armour worn where the I. Peltastai prefer to hang out was sort of 'different' to that of where the 'regular' Peltastai call it home...

Oh, of course, but how does a linothorax not a the shoulder straps? And other Indohellenes (Indo-Greek Iphrikates for example) have them)

I don't know if stuff like that requires additional models, though, as I've seen various pantodapoi phalangitai with and without them.
