Yeah, I thought anyone could but I heard this a lot recently. I wouldn't risk.

I used to think anyone could set them off, but had never seen it. Lusted recently said that only on the "roman" culture can trigger the vanilla Marian reform and if anyone knows the game engine it would be him.

is there a message for the march of time? Because I am in 230 BC the romans are still alive with Capua around 33000 people, Arpi, Taras & Rhegio all more than 100000 people but did not get no notification about it til now.

I don't think the March of Time happens if the Romani are destroyed before they get their huge city... which is a major annoyance if you play Macedon and want to take them out early... and you still want the new phalanx... Need to make the event unconditional me thinks.

It's not simply having a huge city, don't they have to build a Proconsul's Palace in each of them as well?

It began on seven hills - an EB 1.1 Romani AAR with historical house-rules (now ceased)
Heirs to Lysimachos - an EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR with semi-historical houserules (now ceased)
    Philetairos' Gift - a second EB 1.1 Epeiros-as-Pergamon AAR

Well, I'm at 233BC and I still got no vanilla Marians. Should I worry now, or does this have to do with Epeiros almost wiping them out some years ago?

Important is the Imperial Palace. 100,000 people in one city? Sorry I don't believe that...

He probably meant 10 000. Capua being at 33 000 probably means you're long after the event. You shouldn't get all those awesome units before 200 BC anyway... It's just too early for them.

Maybe in EB2 there will be an independent reform for everybody.

What's the trigger again? I ask because four of my five central cities have Proconsul's palaces and it hasn't popped up with the message. Not that I care for me, it doesn't make any difference for the Romani, but I'm sure the AI factions could do with a boost.

It popped up for me after I've build the 24k palace in Capua... It was advisor who told me what's going on.
