Yesterday I was policeing the Black Sea, as you do, against barbarian Novgorods on behalf of my Kievan allies. They were at war, slugging it out for, like, the second consecutive decade, while I was neutral with Novgorod. I decided to come down hard on a Nov. longboat as I needed the seas clear to be able to reinforce the Kievans should I deem so necessary. Needless to say, the norse dogs where no match for fine selcuk seamanship. But to my surprise I found that we were not in a state of war with eachother after this had happened.
I have noticed in the past that peace can come spontaneously, but have not been able to figure out under which exact circumstances this is triggered. Is there anyone here who would be as kind as to shed a suiting amount of light on this mysterious phenomenon? Yours truly would be very excited at such a prospect.
