We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled. But how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere, tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?

Thank you everyone. I'm truly blessed. Two beautiful, healthy daughters, the Lord has surely smiled upon me. Now, I just have to start planning for those wedding days... and the BILLS.

Build a tiny closet. Make a "shoe rule". Your daughters may never own more shoes than can fit in the closet. Problem solved.

Holy ****, how did I miss this thread? Super-duper congratulations, Don C! Not one but two gorgeous daughters, what a life, what fun. This means they can share clothing, and no arguments from the wife. This is a good thing.

A better way. Place one pair of shoes in a small closet, then place a mirror on either side. Problem solved. Infinite pairs of shoes.
