Privateer, you are not unlike a Catholic Inquistion in your quest for guilty blood - but please do not fall into the same trap that Sasaki is prone to.
That is, pursuing a target with such unflagging delight that you begin to want that target to be guilty, simply for the sake of justification.

You are beginning to give me confidence in your innocence, though I guarantee nothing to myself as of yet, and I would have you help me in rooting out those shadowy players who will kill the experience from underneath us while you search!

Look about the list of other players and search for other suspicions!

    You are absolutely correct.

As I have said in other posts, if someone else's behavior comes across as more suspicious, I will change my vote.

Part of the problem is that I don't know most of the people here. Therefore, on turn one, I don't have much of a baseline to compare people against. To me, a lot of comments so far come across as innocent where a veteran might see them as suspicious because they know the person.

Hopefully I'll be more helpful when I get to know people better and get a feel for their habits and style.

OK Laddies, it's off to the day-job for me. I had no real reason to vote for GeneralH, except to try and spawn more talk.

    So: unvote: GeneralHandkerchief
    vote: Hiji
    for lack of participation.

Have a fine day, and good luck all!

Most favourable of you, Kukri, and I thank you for keeping your word.

These random votes are acceptable for the Township - so long as they remain random.

Wow, awesome. I've never been the target of a first-round bandwagon before.

@Glenn: I said "I don't like this" because something's been spinning in my head about a diabolical plot Sasaki's had in order to twist a PM he received to his advantage. With additional information coming out, I'm not as sure, but the thought still remains.

    Unvote: 00jebus

Interesting how he stopped talking right after the roles were assigned.

Keep the tally going, otherwise mafia bandwagons can hide more easily, especially in a mess like this.

    Post Re: Trapped in Taormina

Nothing too much to go on from my perspective - Sasaki's prostitute hiring seems genuine based upon Andres' clarification. The only thing I can henceforth detect is Privateerkev. What I dislike about his behaviour is his fairly high levels of activity in comparison to other players. This could indicate genuine townie involvement, or it could suggest a mafia attempt at avoiding the "lurker" classification. There also is his lack of willingness to vote, which could be an attempt to maintain mafia style neutrality.

Regardless of the flimsiness of this, we've got to start somewhere.

    Vote: Privateerkev

I'm a chatty person who has internet access at work...

Look at some threads in the KotR sub-forum and you'll see that I usually hold a disproportionate amount of the posts.

Like I have said before, I welcome a randomly timed investigation upon my person by the detective as long as he takes care to hide his own identity.

    *edit*

I'm still getting the hang of things and some veterans have convinced me that it is better to "flush out" mafia as early as possible.

What would happen if the prostitute would protect a mafia member?

If he/she spends the night with him/her, he/she can't go out killing, right?

I agree a detective wouldn't reveal. But I did not want to be accused of trying to "flush out" the detective so I wanted to make it clear that he should be quiet if I'm innocent.

Boy, this game is just one long series of "darned if you do, darned if you don't."

You had my vote because you were the most suspicious person. But someone has just taken that role from you.

    unvote: Proletariat; vote: The Stranger

First, TS votes abstain very early on. Then he accuses me of trying to draw out the detective when I made provisions to prevent exactly that. I suspect it is because he got nervous being on someone's suspicion list. So I think he is trying to bandwagon a newbie to throw the scent off of himself.

I'm going to keep my vote on Shlin28 for now. I don't have a strong feeling that he is guilty but I think that Pkev is innocent. He is definately a talkative person. We both joined in the same month and he has 1k more posts than me.

Now, if he was mafia then his partner would have probably told him to lay low and not draw attention too much. The only way I think Pkev could be mafia is if...

    1. His partner is also from KotR and knew a less talkative Pkev would draw suspicion from the other KotR players.

    or

    2. His partner is also new and they haven't done much discussion of strategy.

Privatekev's defence response(s) were, from my perspective, rational and sensible. Mafia are usually much more violent in their responses - especially when a bandwagon is building up against them. He doesn't have my full trust, but, for now my vote is removed.

On another note, The Stranger, might I ask why you can up with that misinformed reason for a vote:

Although I would understand voting based on something comparable to what I voted for Privateerkev based on would be rational, that reasoning is simply poorly devised and based on something I haven't actually read. I didn't see where Privateerkev even mentioned detective reveals - quite to the contrary in fact. I've searched the thread three times for "detective" by the user "Privateerkev" and nothing of any significance cropped up. Due to this:
