I was curious on how it was better or worse. The only thing I hear about it is that factions use naval invasions, is there any other good/bad things about using BI.exe?

Frankly, I couldn't get it to work right with BI.
"I could be bounded in a nutshell, and count myself a king of infinite space, were it not that I have bad dreams." -Hamlet, II, ii
"Historians and others attempt to pin the tail on the reluctant monkey of change." -excerpt from a real college essay, from Ignorance is Blitz by Anders Henriksson
Getting EB to work with BI (as in adding schiltrom to some units, etc.) is somewhat complicated if I understand correctly, but you shouldn't have a problem getting EB to work with the BI exe. following these instructions. At least I didn't. As for your question blado, think the BI exe. also makes some minor improvements to the campaign AI's behavior, but I'm afraid I couldn't elaborate on that.
Blado, I played all previous versions to 1.1 on BI.exe.
And the main difference was the new naval ability of the AI.
Punic wars would start earlier, and more efficiently.
Rhodes, Crete and Sicily were frequently battlefields.
And because of the new method of attacking, I saw things such as the Romans losing Syracuse to the KH in rebellion, and then counter-attacking the KH holdings on the Crimea.
However, it did mean that whenever I wanted to play multiplayer, I had to uninstall everything - and I am a fan of multiplayer.
In addition, I no longer use it because apart from the naval attacks, no other great advantages are obvious - and 1.1 is on par with 1.0 BI.exe now anyway.
Alright, I'll stay with rtw.exe. Is the way to connect to multiplayer the same as 1.0 and earlier versions? I noticed we had a multiplayer shortcut now.
Multiplayer changes the EDU - you may notice in "Singleplayer" custom games your units are all out of place - use Multiplayer for custom games and - should you chance by it - multiplayer.
But if u start the preferences shortcut (or config shortcut, cant really remember) and if u then select rtw.exe combined with mp u should be fine right?Originally Posted by Glenn
