Thread: A question for EB team members

Default A question for EB team members

Hello, first of all allow me to give the due praise for your great work, it is truly inspirational for us at the XGM team.

As some of you might know, XGM has been always developed by a very small group trying to improve and extend vanilla RTW gameplay while erasing the most glaring historical inaccuracies.

So far what we created was a very user friendly mod but we are now trying to improve our work even more on the historical accuracy side by introducing a new cultural and recruiting system plus a better focus on AOR.
The problem with that is that we are very short on manpower and thus it is very hard for us to switch from concept to application.

What we humbly ask you is if after most of the work of EB1 has been done anybody in your gifted team could have any time to spare to help your fellow modders in making a better game for the community to enjoy.
We will appreciate help in any position but so far we are in dire need of modelers/skinners and EDB coders.

Thanks for your time and any feedback from you.
The best is yet to come.

Hmm. If it's purely for AOR management; and you are willing to adopt the EB style of recruitment code -- then you are probably better off asking for the dev version of the Recruitment Viewer. Because that is an recruitment code generator.

Usual chanels and such; a bit of patience ... and... ?

In any case I don't think there'll be (many) EB members rushing over to help you guys with XGM. Not because we aren't willing but mostly because we're sort of up to our ears in EB2 work whilst attempting to maintain the EB1 series as well. So don't expect too much 'physical' help there.

XGM wouldn't happen to have any formation creators laying around, would they?

Well, our recruitment is a bit different than EB's and it uses some religion code along with active colonization so the short solution won't be easy to apply this time.

I know that you guys are mostly occupied with EB2 but my request was in the hope that somebody would still be not 100% busy, thanks for your answer anyway...

Abou: RedFox at TWC worked on historical battles, he might be able to give you guys a hand if you contact him. Other than that we used Darth formations with a few changes.
