You get them in the MIC (L3 Factional) for AS and Ptl, L3 Regional for Mak, Pontos, etc...

Sometimes you can get them from regional MIC too. In 1.0 at least - I wouldn't know about 1.1.

The nice thing about them is that they're exactly the same as Pezheratoi but can be recruited in almost every diadochi territory, like the Panda-Phallics, their only real disadvantage is the missing 2 defensive points, but they're a phalanx, even a 1 1 1 phalanx, if used properly, can win battles.. I still use Pantodapoi as my inf-of-the-line though, because of their axes.

They're not exactly the same as Pezhetairoi and you will know when you face Pezehtairoi or vice versa. Regardless: Klerouchoi phalangitai are a light variant of Pezhetairoi; but for all intents and purposes; you won't need Pezhetairoi anyways were you are going with you Klerouchoi... in EB1.
