PS3 game compatability

Would anyone here know, or be willing to give an informed guess, if PS3 games have a region code on them ? Some relatives are currently in the US, and with GTA IV being released it'd be great to get it relatively cheap in the States. But obviously it'd be a waste if it wouldn't work here.

All PS3 games are region-free.

Kek's right. It doesn't matter which region you brought your PS3 in, or what spec it is, it will play games from any region. The only time you need to worry about regions is when you are using PS2 or PS1 games.

IIRC you can see a list of what types of discs your PS3 will play by going to the main systems details screen on the blade. It's the same screen which tells you your software version. If I'm hallucinating about that then you can definitely find the information in your PS3 manual.
