Thread: Provincial Governor Problem

    Default Provincial Governor Problem

I can not get the Gallia Cisalpina governorship. Is this problem with the game? I get the Gallia Transalpina (Gallia Narbonensis) governorship in Tolosa, but can not get the Gallia Cisalpina or Gallia Comatea. I'm playing EB 1.1, have all the requirements, i.e settlements and government levels required. I have gotten Sicilia, Corsica et Sardinia, Gallia Transalpina, Hispania Ulterior and Citerior but not Gallia Cisalpina or Comatea.

I have Type I gov in Segesta, Bononia, Patavium, governors in all three. Do I need to change to Type II gov in these settlements to receive the governor?
Also, I have Type II govs in all of Gaul and governors in every settlement still no Gallia Comatea governor.

    Default AW: Provincial Governor Problem

There is a maximum of 8 ancilleries. When all your characters in the region have reached it they cannot aquire the appropriate one to become rector provinciae.

This might be the problem why non of my generals became the provincial governors in Gallia Cisalpina or Sicilia

your problem are the type I govts. I had this problem too and lost the provinces permanently, so i had to restart my campaign. hopefully it will work for you if you revert back to type II provinces.
