I tried to write a nice story about how this has been happening for the past two years, but I lost my 56k dial-up connection. So sorry.
I like having a fast cable wireless connection. Please help.

Your post, I thought it made sense, but then I read it again and it didn't. Would it be possible for you to clarify?
LEmur, if I understand correctly, I think that he has a problem with the modem, due to a malfunction. As you said, more info is need.Originally Posted by Lemur

How did it make the same effect on me as well?Originally Posted by Lemur

Sorry. My cable wireless was acting up, so I had to fall back to dial up. Since my AOL installation was out of date, I had about ten minutes to navigate to the Org and jot something down.
I fixed the issue.... mostly.
It appears the problem was related to the purity of my cable signal. I managed to get a "more pure" cable connection by climbing into my attic with a very long cable wire and sticking it into the splitter which brings cable to many of the rooms in the house through the walls. Seeing as that it is unacceptable to have a wire hanging out of an attic door held open by a piece of Styrofoam, I think I have to drill a hole in the ceiling. Yay.
What makes me mad is that although I can surf the web relatively well, my ping jumps randomly to about >1000 when I am playing a game on Steam. It's unplayable.![]()
