installation doesn't complete

Hi,

I downloaded eb1.1 from Filefront, I tried to install, it starts to extract but when it gets to the SOUND files Greek or Latin, it stops and say that the "sours file is corrupted". Each time on a different file. Sometimes it happens before, on TEXTURES and once it happened later.

I then downloaded eb torrent, and exactly the same thing happened again with the different download. I tried to open both downloads manually with winrar and zip-7 but in both cases it wasn`t possible, it told me it is not an archive and it couldn`t open it. I tried to install in different drives and directories, but the same result always. I`m really lost. Do you have any idea what could be the problem?

Sounds to me like you're having some corruption on your hard drive or memory, but I'm not sure at all. Try to download EB to another disk, if you have more than one. You can also run a deep scan with scandisk to check for bad sectors, and memtest (google it) for the memory. Both of these take a lot of time though.

OK, I downloaded it again to a different hard drive and now it is working just fine.

Then you should definitely run a deep scan of your disk that caused the problem. Who knows what else may become corrupted.
