With Rebellion, did anyone else spend hours restarting the game so they got the perfect beginning setup?

With Alliance, I wouldn't play a game until I got it where the Headquarters started in the lower right corner of the map. That way, all of your characters can reach the same inner system pretty quick with Han's Falcon. Then, with all of the main characters in the same area, it was easy to recruit the rest and put them to work as agents. The Falcon was a major advantage to the Rebellion. The .5 hyperdrive made me use Han for all Agent transporting and missions.

With Empire, I wouldn't play a game until I got Darth Vader to start in the sector with Coruscant. I would simply focus on that sector and let the rest fall apart. With Darth and the Emperor recruiting on Coruscant, you can get all the characters fairly quickly and use them as agents. Then, when that sector is all green, just move on to Corellia. Repeat until you win.

I have actually saved both of those setups so I wouldn't have to spend a whole saturday restarting my campaigns.
