Imo with a little changes old models would be fine. You just need to change Both Marian and Augustus legionary red tunics to white ones ,and the rest was fine the old models. For evocata you only need to change their helmet ,And you can use the Reformata helmet for them. And I don't know why did you change the centurion model at all (?!)

I'm not familiar with modeling stuff ,But if Modifying the currently created models is possible ,Then Every modeller with even a little modeling expereince for Rome should be able to do it easily. You just need to ask modeling community for help

And make them ready for the next pacth. all for the sake of conformity

I didn't try it ,But yes somthing like that. However in this link we use the old .81 models with no changes. I'm suggesting the old models plus some little changes (Like using montefertino helmet instead of Coolus helmet for Evocata) to make them historically accurate in details and then they could be used as the final roman models for EB I

(So no need to redoing the models)

well, to begin with there's an issue with the original models and ownership which meant that with the Imperial Cohort we couldn't just make changes, we had to remake it from scratch. Then there's the fact that there isn't a skinner/modeller available to make the changes that would make it worth while.
