    Default BI question

I have EB 1.1 installed on top of a rtw 1.5. was thinking if I could install BI + 1.6 patch, then another mod that also uses the mod switch. I don't plan on using the Bi exe for EB, just need BI exe for the new mod.

is that ok or will it mess up my installation?

I'd do a fresh install of the whole thing. But that's just me being cautious. It could work perfectly fine.

what I am asking is will the mods cause problems for each other? will installing BI + 1.6 patch ruin EB 1.1? I know EB + the new mod I am installing uses mod switch. rtw 1.5 files are 100% vanilla as I haven't touch a single file besides the preference.cfg. that is why I love mods that uses the mod switch, it is sooo nice.

Possibly, however what Illian is saying (I think) is that it would be safer to instead do a fresh RTW install, then BI, then EB and your other mod.
As far as mod switch goes, I currently have EB, ROP and ITW all in the same install, used to have IBFD as well so you shouldn't have any problems there.
    Cheers

You should be fine. As long as the mod is not interfering with RTW original files. If it does then all depends on what files it changes.

ok I installed BI + patch then the FATW mod. here is the weird thing. both vanilla rtw + BI are unplayable, but both mods are fine :P weird. I just remember that I installed cc lite music mod into rtw 1.5, would that be the cause for the vanilla games not to work? the mod was installed before BI + 1.6 patch.
