Palermo is under seige. We destroyed roughly half of the crusader force, but two generals with night fighter made it impossible to win the battle outright.

Still, I'd rather take half of them with me, rather than lose a simple auto-resolve. Cornered, this rat has teeth.

Hopelessly outnumbered, the Egyptian forces sally forth to teach the Sicilian fools a lesson about ever daring to attack Askthepizzaguy the Most Merciless.

Nearly half of their invasion force lay dead this day. We lost the battle, but to the last man we fought. This is a phyrric victory for our opponents. Next time they will not be so lucky.

Meanwhile, their capital is under seige. We will repay their betrayal with the blood of their women and children. Death comes soon for these traitors!

I estimate that this war is still in our favor, unless Sicily can repel our invasion force.

We have sufficient defenses in Constantinople, and in a few turns a Jihad will finish them. Meanwhile, Sicily will endure much bloodshed on their core territory.
