The dialog was natural and easy and the characters felt like real people. This movie had none of that. Almost every single line felt like it was being read dead-pan off of cue cards. Some of the 'stunts' were absolutely absurd. The Indy films were action oriented, but the danger situations were generally plausible (at least, the non-supernatural ones). Not so in Indy 4. The films forces you to suspend your disbelief almost immediately, because it blatantly makes all characters invincible. There is one particular scene early on where Indy pretty much shrugs off a... uh... large explosion... as if nothing had happened. Using such an event as a 'minor' danger that is tangential to the plotline is a travesty.

This is not the Indy I grew up with.

Ya the Nuke and the whole monkey attack scense kind of threw me off. Every single time he didn't get shot when there 30 AK-47's all trying to kill him didn't help either.
When it occurs to a man that nature does not regard him as important and that she feels she would not maim the universe by disposing of him, he at first wishes to throw bricks at the temple, and he hates deeply the fact that there are no bricks and no temples

Yeah the whole nuke bit was a bit too much.

Well the nazis were quite bad shots but the bits in this film were awfully OTT
