Default A new trouble with buildings

i have modded the export_descr_building.txt by simply adding to new buildings.
i have touched nothing else.and for some strange reasons i can't build the core_buildings upgrades(means that if a city gets the numebrs of civilians to became a large one i can't build proconsol_palace ).All works perfectly on other game aspetcs, meaning no other strange behavior.

    here it is:
    http://www.totalwar.org/Downloads/Rt...gs_erroneo.txt

hope someone will find anything wrong.

the best part is that the back up copy works perfectly...

i have added in this file those new buildings:

    clearance
    naval_architect
    safe_sea
    war_port
    hinterland_mines_gold
    hinterland_mines_silver
    hinterland_mines_copper

i can't understand why they influence the core buildings ....

Well, it seems you have an extra space before "carthaginian" in proconuls_palace's faction list, and the engine usually doesn't like that kind of things in the specific file... Try to lose one of them.

Try comparing the working EDB and the not-working one (use DiffDog or Beyond Compare or any similar software) and spot any formatting mistakes...

you have something wierd and illogical going on and you just added buildings for the carthaginians.....

adding new buildings carthaginian culture can build - if you haven't made the necessary adjustment (deleting duplicate look-up line) in descr_ui_buildings.txt
    does the following:
-if you delete the map.rwm it causes CTD
-if you don't delete the map.rwm you just get really illogical little wierdnesses (like your current problem)

check that you changed the descr_ui_buildings.txt file and also delete / rename your map.rwm if you haven't already

i have founded the error ;) .seems like i have added too much buildings...

here it's a explanation so none will make this error again:

    Error:Too much building upgrades

Why it happends:you have created too much building upgrades(check my file.there are really a lot)

    How to solve:Remove some XD

at least it make the difference for me ;)

seems like the game starts to "forget" the buildings upgrades you defined if you make too much of them.I have tried to delete two buildings and it worked. To check if they were the problem i reinserted them and then i deleted other two different buildings so i'm prety sure this is the real problem

Glad you worked it out. Were you unware of the max no. of trees? It is listed in the EDB Guide and elsewhere.
