rather weird......

ok so about not even a month ago,i downloaded an updat for my gmae called stronghold 2, and in order to play Mp on that game you need to downlaod that certain update i'll download the udate,try to play mp, but then it wont even let me play the gane.

any ideas on how to help me solve this problem?

Ahh SH2... The life of a medieval king. The updates they pump out dont fix much. If you cant access the lobby then you might want to re install. If its just joining games its the fact that the others are playing an old patch. But the most i can say about this unstable game is to re install and hope for the best.

If I were you I wouldn't bother with Stronghold 2 at all. Very unstable, terrible gameplay, etc. I played it quite a while ago, but I soon uninstalled it and went back to playing Stronghold 1 and Stronghold Crusader.

But I guess playing against other people would b more challenging then playing against the shocking AI so all I can really say is try and re-install it.

I have never played Stronghold 2, but it sounds like the patch is making things worse rather than making things better, thus defeating the entire purpose of the patch.

Was your game working before the patch? If so, its propabably just a bad patch so just uninstall it and play without it or just reinstall an older patch.
