OK. I had this at first. Try the following:

BACK UP EVERY OUNCE OF SAVEGAME ON YOUR MACHINE TO SOMEWHERE REMOTE!

Unistall every ounce of RTW on your computer

Re-install vanilla. DO NOT INSTALL IN YOUR PROGRAM FILES DIRECTORY

Play it to check if it works.

Install Patch 1.3

Play the game again

Install Patch 1.5

Run the EB installer, ensuring that your target directory is correct.

Play EB

Only now do you even contemplate installing BI/Alexander
