Right. Arms again
Here are the Rules:
1. Every "house", that is feudal chain, to have a Coat of Arms (as in KotR). For inspirations to Byzantine Arms go here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byzantine_heraldry, but feel free to go nuts. The only thing I ask is that it be kept reasonably simple. (I should add that the first one of the list below is intended as a house arms, so halving is still fine. I'd prefer that to be the extent of it though. Quartering if two of the quarters are the same. ie https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...gusEmperor.svg)
2.1 Strators only use their House Arms
2.2 Comes, Domestikos, Hypatos and Antypatos may make some additions to their House Arms
2.3 Patrikos and Dux may halve or quarter their House Arms with a personal Arms, or make otherwise major additions.
2.4 Megas Dux/Exarch, as well as Caesars and Basileoses may have their own personal Arms.
2.5 The Chancellor is to get a special symbol added to his Arms.
3. A character will not lose his arms if he goes down in rank.
I reserve the right to add to these rules, ignore them and generally be a bastard at my discrepancy. I did not deny a single request in KotR, so feel free to try me, but in the interest of keeping it simple and keeping my free time, I may do so. But I won't bite anyone who asks.
As I am sure has been noted I've doled out Arms to anyone who's cared to approach me so far, regardless of where they were on a feudal chain, so consider the code more like guidelines than actual rules.
Now I remember failing miserably at doing this last time, but I will try to create a semblance of order in this thread:
ARMS OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE
(Imperial Arms, that is not Alexius Comnenus' personal Arms):
HOUSE/FACTION ARMS
House of Asteri
House of Komnenodoukai
Order of St. John
House of the Tagamata
House of the Tepaki
PERSONAL ARMS
Ioannis Kantakouzinos
Caesar Ioannis Komnenos
Hypatios Machonios
Done all by himself!
Methodios Tagaris
Personal Arms of Aleksios
Kosmas Mavrozomis
Pavlos Chrysovergos
Apionnas Vringas
Unclaimed Arms
Let's get started then
