ok ibn khaldun....hmm...im not 100% sure I like this one yet. It seems a bit bottom heavy, and about to keel over. But let me know what you think, and if needed, how we can improve it:

edit: the reason there is no orthodox cross, and that the wreath doesnt go all the way is that it then cuts through the wings too much which makes that look a bit silly. only way to solve that would be to make the eagle smaller, and that makes the centre look silly. alternatively, if you can find a thinner laurel wreath that might work, but there seems to be a curious lack of laurel images about.

That's good but I was thinking that the laurel branches could surround the star and not the eagle.. The star doesn't have to be thatbig..

Hmm .. and perhaps the color of the eagle could be a little bit darker red ..

ibn khaldun: do you mind the star and wreath being below the eagle? it just works better in terms of the eagle's wings being quite wide, hence there is more room for them at the top

Ok, a new one for YLC:

Varangians represented by a lion with a nordic axe. Not sure how true this is, but they once carved a lion which now stands in Venice and the axe speaks for itself.
