    Default EB Install Problem!

I’m having trouble with installing EB 1.1. After getting most of the way through the install a warning message came up saying that there was a problem with this file:

    C:\...\UNIT_INFO\SELUCID\steppe_missile_cavalryphalava_shivatir_INFO.TGA

After pressing retry and ignore with nothing happening I was forced to abort the installation.

Any ideas on what this problem is or if anybody else has got it as well? I used the bottom mirror option ‘FileShare’ I believe it’s called, if that’s any help?

Odd. The problem fixed itself when I attempted to re-install it.

Sorry for wasting your time (that’s twice in two days!)

I checked and saw you just fixed the problem. As I refuse to let a couple of suggestions go to waste.

First option: lack of hard drive space. Don't forget that for the installation the installer has to unpack itself as well.

Which takes up approximately 2 GB of space. Seeing as you install somewhere on your C-drive, and your temp folder is more quite likely to be on the same C-drive, you need at least 5 GB of free space for a succesful installation.

Second option: corrupted download. Possible, but somewhat unlikely, seeing as the installer installed most of EB.

Another who got this problem solved it by downloading to another disk. I suggest you run deep scan with Scandisk overnight, to see if there are any bad sectors on your hard drive.

Having problems getting EB2 to run? Try these solutions.

I do NOT answer PM requests for help with EB. Ask in a new help thread in the tech help forum.
