I am currently playing as the romani and I'm sorta preparing myself (mentally) for the marian reforms, and I was wondering what certain things do you have to get a charactor to become 'popularis' and a 'consul'.
Thanks in advance
You could cheat it, but as I discovered trying to make various people quaestor, the internal names are tricky and often don't apply to the character you want.
In short, forget trying to get an appropriate "Marius" just edit the province requirement for the unconditional reform.

So this is why I ain't seeing many consuls. Lots of my FM's become drunkards, thus losing 1 command star. Any idea what circumstances affect their drinking habits?Originally Posted by konny

Yeah, problem is later in the game it really becomes a hassle to micromanage your FMs because there's so many of them. But it does take keeping an eye on them from Coming of Age onwards to make sure they don't become wastrels.Originally Posted by Flying Pig

So I should take them out for walks then. Does it help if I'd spend, say, half of their movement points and then return to the city, or do they need to be away for full turns once in a while?
