    I don't know about all that.

    But after tonight I do know who is Germany's mortal enemy ("Angstgegner") for years to come. First 1998, now this...

    So? You say Austria had done its worst regarding what's expected out of them and he's asking for their best. I can see nothing wrong here.

    Well, football isn't fair to industrious and enthusiastic tournament hosts, is it? That was the kind of start
    that had them 3-0 up against the Dutch. But a goal saps their confidence. They collapsed in that game,
    and I can't see them coming back now if they don't get a goal before half-time.

    Heh, poetic justice. Guerreiro's goal was offside by a mile, and Webb's penalty decision did the Austrians a well-deserved favour.

    Sure, you can be 'realistic' and say it wasn't the best football - and it wasn't. But for a nonqualified team Austria was sensational and showed great spirit, fighting to the very end. That's what it's all about. I'l take this kind of sportsmanship over boring 'professionalism' any day. Respect.

    Lewandowski, you

    If it is the last minute of the match you are NOT trying to rip off somone's T-shirt.

    Austria vs. Boruc + 'Rogerski' - 1 : 1

    Where this team go ? How could they lose to Austria for the God's sake.

    I couldn't believe what I was watching - they were supposed to score AT LEAST twice losing nothing to have a chance, but moved like snails.

    To be fair it should be 5 - 1 for Austria.

    That's how I have felt about the Dutch team in the past 10 years. This too will pass, friend. Poland will never be lost.

    I am watching our football team for long enough.

    Last time I seen them doing something meaningful was during the olimpic games in Barcelona ( 1992 ?).

    This time it was worse than in last two World Cups.

    In Korea-Japan we at least seen an ad hoc team made from reserve players who never played together demolishing the USA who were a suprise of the games in our group.

    In Germany there was this tense game with Germany with lots of luck and very good saves to the last minute.

    But now ??? The team played well, sometimes very, very well in the qualifying for the Euro, but when it started it turned into one big dissapointment, despite great games in time of one year, despite wonderful Leo 'the magician' and despite Roger who as we see was possibly the only real player except Boruc in the first half.
    I think it would be better to replace our non existent defence with plastic dolls, so that these wouldn't stop Boruc from the work he does so well.
    But what I really know about football.
    Thankfully I am not a real football fan so I can always take the sarcastic stance and enjoy the jokes which will soon appear as always.
    I am starting to wonder if I should invest time and money in 2012 - even if the games will be so close I would be able to hear the crowds cheering.

    Or I could just blame the president for appearing there so certainly bringing bad luck - quite a good idea because I despise this man and he is no football fan present there only to beat our PM (a devoted fan and player for decades) who couldn't be in Vienna.... a lame excuse to say the least.

    Sadly there is no scapegoat.

    Now I can bet the team will play well against Croatia - they are always doing that if a game is meaningless, morons. And I think that Lewandowski should not come back.

    Poland does not have a good squad, besides that demigod named Boruc and Roger. Sorry.

    Mortal enemy eh? because of Nuremberg or because we always beat you?

    It's a pitty if we can't play against Holland in this tournament but i'm sure you will find another "enemy"...like France tomorow. They need to win and it will be a hard game, don't you think? besides, i don't believe Holland can keep that fantastic physical condition for the entire tournament.

    Match Day 6 Prediction

    Netherlands 1 - 1 France
    Italy 2 - 1 Romania

    A good squad ? We don't have a squad, period - for that you need more than two-four players ( Bąk wasn't too bad + there was at least one person in the second half actually worth calling a football player).

    They have one more name - Smolarek! very good player, but not in the tournament. Cegorach is right, Poland played very well in the qualifying for the Euro and they were somehow a promisse for the competition, but maybe some lack of experience will send them home early.

    Haha, when I heard that it was 2-0 for Croatia I was quite amused, I know I bet for our team but I was trying to be realistic, deep inside me I like seeing them lose because they're usually overhyped anyway.

    France - Holland
    If only France would play with half of the fire of the Swiss or the Austrians...

    On the upside, most of my wishes seem to have come true. 4-2-3-1 it is. Henry and Vieira are back in. And I sense that the players are rising up against Domenech. They want to play without the handbrake on, despite astrology-freak Domenech trying to play 0-0 every game, hoping for a sneaky 1-0 win in one game to win the goup. Led by Gallas, they are taking matters in their own hands.

    No surprise, maybe, that it should be Gallas. He is used to Wenger and his artistic, attacking minded football. Sometimes I have these dreams of Wenger and what he couldn't do with a squad as talented as this. Just imagine...

    I predict a belter by Henry and a solo by Ribéry to put Maradona to shame!

    The Dutch counter-attacking machine be warned! Tomorrow is another day! Orange won't out-counter and out-catenaccio les Bleus like they did the Italians.

    Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    (Dang it..the Dutch haven't collapsed under in-fighting yet. What's going on? )

    ~~~
    Romania - Italy
    Go Romania! Allez les Jaunes!
    They'll have to chain me to the wall again tomorrow, that I won't attack the screen at the faintest sight of anything azure blue, and can kick and scream and throw mindless insults at the macaroni football team without hurting anyone.
    Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    arrr....! Growl ! Groan! Bring me Mario! Bring me Mario! Bring me Mariorazzi! arrr..!
    Wasilewski ( it is not Russian so no need for 'V' and 'Y') plays because there is noone else for his position.
    When he plays fine, it is good, if not... Boruc/Fabiański/Kuszczak/another goalkeeper saves us or not.
