Tristan has a defensive battle. I'll PM him the save and he'll fight it and PM me the new one. The Turks have not assaulted Adana yet so deguerra does not have a defensive battle.

I just couldn't resist sacking Cairo... 18000 florins !!! I sure hope it will be manageable now...
Battle report due sometime tomorrow if all goes well... More losses than I would have wanted but those Mamluks sure are pests... If it wasn't for them, it would have been a walk in the park...
And save is still in the rebel turn so PK should have the scrolls![]()

Report for 1131:
We are now half-way through my term. I've rebuilt the economy, maintained the armies, gotten merchants to trade exotic goods, converted many to the faith, and built in almost every province. With your help, we now have more money to keep our armies maintained, and to keep financing improvements in our provinces.
Armies:
Emperor: Spear Militia and Archer Militia were retrained in Constantinople
Aleksios: Is still headed for Constantinople
Savvas: The rest of his army is headed towards Kalameteros
Kantakouzinos: Him and his army is headed for Diyarbakir
Buildings:
Aleppo, Adana, Tbilisi, and Nicaea all started Land Clearance
Sinop started a Grain Market
Iconion and Yeravan started Ports
Thebes started a small chapel
Bucharest started Wooden Walls
Foreign Affairs:
We sold maps to Poland for 2000 florins
The HRE are still the strongest Kingdom around
Turks have sieged Damascus
I have been sending spies on missions. It made the Thieves Guild notice us. They have sent a Spymaster to liaise with the Emperor.
Domestic Affairs:
Cairo sallied against Methodios. He beat the rebels and took the city. Reports are coming in that the city was sacked. I'll leave it up to the Senate to decide whether the act was legal. Since the Crusade is over, it is debatable whether Cairo was any longer a Crusade target. Regardless, the money is there and needs to be spent. The sum was 18000 florins and it is already in the treasury. Before I get flooded with "advice" on how to spend the money, I already plan to spend it on expensive improvements that I have had to keep waiting. Constantinople, Thessalonica, and Athens all need bigger walls and I will approve those improvements when I sign off on expenditures this year.
Because Kalameteros moved his army in to support Adana, the Turkish army paused and has not assaulted yet.
Permissions:
As always, if it is not listed, you can not move it.
Kalameteros can move the peasant archers in the Iconion province. And the peasants and town militia in the Adana Province.
Pavlos can move the Byzantine Cavalry in the Yeravan Province.
Armatos can move the spy that is in Antioch. If he attacks the Turkish army first, he can break their siege. Which will allow our spy to infiltrate Damascus before Armatos sieges it.
Stavros can move the Order's Crusade Army. This is in 3 seperate "stacks." One stack is the Great Cross in Cairo Province. Another is the 6 infantry in the east edge of Cairo province. And the last is the 2 cavalry that are at the east edge of Alexandria Province.
Methodios can move his 5 units which are right next to the city of Cairo. Also, the Swordsmaster's Guild wishes to establish itself in Cairo. I would like Methodios's thoughts on this before I consider accepting. He can not accept the offer himself but he can deny it.
Annios can move the 3 units that are currently with him in the Alexandria Province.
Miscellaneous:
OOC: I moved avatars for Rowan, Kag, and NN according to their wishes. I also moved Motep into Constantinople since it seemed like he wanted his avatar in there and his SOT gives me permission to move him.
OOC: There are a couple battles this turn. I will take the save back sometime tomorrow. If you need more time, let me know.

Why did the chicken cross the road?
So that its subjects will view it with admiration, as a chicken which has the daring and courage to boldly cross the road,
but also with fear, for whom among them has the strength to contend with such a paragon of avian virtue? In such a manner is the princely
chicken's dominion maintained. ~Machiavelli
