...and here it is. Vissa has wandered off into the desert (Story tomorrow!) and passed near a little stack of Egyptians across the river to his north.

The lions sing and the hills take flight.
The moon by day, and the sun by night.
Blind woman, deaf man, jackdaw fool.
Let the Lord of Chaos rule.

Arrived at Diyarbakir and laid siege to the Castle. It has some defenders and a largish captain led force is nearb. As a result our relations with the Sultanate have dropped to Abysmal, which I find a better mirror of my feelings for them anyway.
Ioannis Kantakouzinos arrived shortly after but was not able to set up his own siege yet.
I urge Machonios to join us in this siege.

I moved Stavros to besiege Gaza. The infantry then the cavalry joined up with him. The great cross is about a turn away but will arrive soon. Also I moved the spy just outside of Gaza so I could have a better chance of seeing inside without risking his life.

Report for 1134:
The Templar army was defeated and the remnants ran to the perceived safety of their castle.
Buildings:
Alexandria started a town hall. With Methodios's permission, the Thieves Guild was destroyed.
I approved of the Merchant Guild for Cairo.
Durazzo and Smyrna both started town watches so they can train basic militia.
Events:
The Jihad is still on. The Moors have finally arrived. They are just north of Belgrade. And a Fatimid Jihad army was spotted moving past Adana. It is believed that the army is between Iconium and Adana.
There are more Turks near Yerevan.
Permissions:
Stavros can move the Order's Crusader units.
Annios can move his 3 units.
A Theologian Guild wishes to set up in Alexandria. Methodios can not accept but can deny it.
OOC:
I moved EF, NN, and W&F according to their wishes. Pavlos got a MotH offer after his battle and Ituralde asked me to deny it.
I plan on taking the save back tomorrow 4:30PM US CT.

The Combined forces of Asteri under the aid of Nikiphoros Manouelitis sought out to seek out and destroy the Egyptian Jihad that had been reported pillaging its way through the Anatolian heartland.
The men were commanded in name by Ioannis Kalameteros, however reports have surfaced that Ioannis was at the last minute stuck down by a fever and the relatively untested nobleman Nevoulas ek Philadelphias took the command of the army.
A short hunt on the road to Iconium and the Jihad was found to be camped.
I am delighted to report that this large Egyptian Jihad army has been completely wiped out and the performance of the bodyguards of Nikiphoras, Nevoulas and Ioannis won the day backed up by the brave peasant army of the Asteri.
One soldier stood out in the battle and has now been promoted to Ioannis' retinue labelled as a somewhat Notorious Berserker he will surely be of usefulness in any future battles.
I attempted the ransom the army - it was a longshot at gaining the empire more funds.
A short battle report will follow.
