Taking the save!
Taking the save!
The lions sing and the hills take flight.
The moon by day, and the sun by night.
Blind woman, deaf man, jackdaw fool.
Let the Lord of Chaos rule.

1198-1199 Megas Report
The last fifteen years have been less than pleasant. Progress in our external wars have stalled. Our economy has as well, with huge deficits. Multiple provinces have rebelled, and we have several claimants to the throne, and no satisfactory solution for most of the claimants has been found. I have tried to do what is best for the Empire, providing arms for those who were to take them up against Venice and the Turks, and protecting Constantinople when I would rather be fighting in Italy.
It has been an honor to serve you all, although I feel I have failed you. About the only highlight of my term was the turning away of Erotikos and his lackey from our capital, but next to the low points it seems little to boast of.
I give my best wishes to whoever takes up the challenge of being Megas next. At the very least, he can't do any worse than I have.
OOC: With the beginning of a new session the save is closed, though free to look at.
