Can you send us some rain, Cali is a little dry
Tho' I've belted you an' flayed you,

Yeah, I just got done reading about that less than an hour ago. Crazy.

I'm just glad my relatives in SE Minnesota are okay; looks like the Root River didn't flood too badly after all. Of course, there's still more rain coming, so....

I'm in the Des Moines area, I'm fine. The bad flooding was near the river, while I'm farther west away from it. Family is near Dubuque, but they seem to have not had to evacuate. However, some of them are still in the farming business and have been hit pretty hard with some of the crops being drowned.

I've been wondering how your doing. I'm glad to hear your ok. I've been keeping track of the news lately. I'm only a few hours east of you down 88. So us in north-central Illinois get the weather after it dumps on you guys.

I've been watching the news lately and it seems like its been pretty tough for you guys in the Midwest.

As for where I am, I must say its imo, the perfect summer weather. Low eighties(F) for the high, sunny, slightly breezy, and sparse rain. That is a big improvement over the weather at the beginning of june. It was 90s/100s from the beginning of june up until the 11th or so and right during my non air-conditioned final exams for school too
